StartupFeed Quick Take

  • Gujarat closed a 3-country Gulf outreach in Dubai, after Qatar and Oman.
  • Vibrant Gujarat 2027 runs January 10 to 12 at Gandhinagar, its 11th edition.
  • Delegations are touring 22 countries and 8 Indian cities before the summit.

Gujarat wrapped up its Gulf investment drive in Dubai this week, pitching Vibrant Gujarat 2027 to oil, gas, logistics and finance investors.

The visit was part of a wider push. State delegations are touring 22 countries and 8 Indian cities to drum up interest before the January summit.

The scale is the pitch. Gujarat says its 2024 summit drew investment proposals worth Rs 45 lakh crore across 98,540 agreements.

In Dubai, a delegation led by state secretary Lochan Sehra met investors in oil and gas, logistics, financial services, manufacturing and real estate.

The Dubai leg closed a Gulf tour that also covered Qatar and Oman. Investment authorities in all three gave a positive response, with the keenest interest from oil and gas.

The team also addressed Indian founders and diaspora members at an event hosted by the Indian People’s Forum in the UAE.

Why Vibrant Gujarat 2027 Matters for Founders

Vibrant Gujarat 2027 is the state’s flagship investment summit, now in its 11th edition. It runs from January 10 to 12 at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar, under the theme Viksit Gujarat, Shaping Global Future. The nodal agency is the Industrial Extension Bureau, known as iNDEXTb.

For founders, the real date is the Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show, from January 9 to 13 at the Helipad Exhibition Centre. It sets aside space for startups, MSMEs and women-led firms. Exhibitor and visitor registration is already open.

Gujarat is also leaning on India’s trade deals to make its case. Officials point to India’s free trade pact with the UAE as a fresh route for Gulf money into the state. The summit was pushed from 2025 to 2027 around the state’s election calendar.

What this means for you: If you run a startup or MSME chasing Gulf capital or a global stage, Vibrant Gujarat 2027 is now the event to plan around. Book a trade-show slot before the January 9 opening, and line up your Gulf pitch while the state is actively courting that money.
