Rs 2 lakh prize pool
Open to startup founders and student teams.
Startups are selected before they pitch. That makes October 20 a cut-off for the shortlist, not a walk-in date.
The venue is GL Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management, Greater Noida. Innovation Hub, AKTU, Lucknow is supporting the day.
Dr Purnendu Shekhar Pandey, who runs the centre, put the invitation this way:
“Investors do not come to Greater Noida every week. On October 31 they will be in one room, and we want founders from across NCR sitting across from them”
Dr Purnendu Shekhar Pandey, Chief Executive Officer, GL Bajaj Centre for Research and Incubation. From Greater Noida, October 17, 2026.
Six Sessions Run at Bharat Udyam Sangam 2026
Bharat Udyam Sangam 2026 runs six formats across one day, set out in the event concept note.

- Leadership and Investor Panel on what it takes to build a venture that scales
- Student Innovation and Idea Pitching before an expert jury
- A time-bound student hackathon on real-world problems
- Capacity-Building Masterclass on fundraising, customer validation and go-to-market
- Investor-Startup Connect, curated one-to-one meetings
The conclave is tied to the Ministry of MSME, DST NIDHI PRAYAS, the Institution’s Innovation Council, Startin UP and AKTU.
What GL Bajaj’s Incubator Brings to the Pitch Arena
GL Bajaj Centre for Research and Incubation has supported 155 startups, and more than 110 of them carry DPIIT recognition. Spliting the portfolio into 63 seed-stage, 46 early-stage and 23 growth-stage ventures.
Twenty-four have graduated out of the programme. The centre puts cumulative funds raised at over Rs 6.56 crore and combined portfolio valuation at Rs 500 crore.
GL Bajaj Centre for Research and Incubation is a Section 8 company, incorporated on September 20, 2020. It runs 20,000 sq ft of incubation and co-working space.
Most of that money arrived as government grants, not private investment.
Corporate partners sit alongside the state schemes. Zoho, AWS, GitHub and Paytm back the centre, with banking partners on the same list.

What Other Funding GLBCRI Opens for Startups
The Rs 2 lakh prize pool is one route of several. GLBCRI startups have drawn on at least seven separate grant schemes, state and central.
| Funding route | What it backs | Seen at GLBCRI |
|---|---|---|
| DST NIDHI PRAYAS | Idea to working prototype | Up to Rs 10 lakh, 16 startups |
| Startin UP | Seed, prototype and marketing | Rs 4.5 lakh to Rs 5 lakh, 97 startups |
| TIDE 2.0, run by MeitY | Technology product building | Rs 7 lakh to Blendmest Technologies |
Two smaller routes sit alongside those. Four startups came through the MSME Idea Hackathon, and one through AICTE Yukti.
The Labs and Programmes Behind the Campus
Eight centres of excellence sit on the Greater Noida campus. They include an NVIDIA AI research centre, a Palo Alto Networks lab and a Cisco centre.
GL Bajaj won the AKTU Leader Incubator Award 2026 in September. Six of its startups were picked for the UP International Trade Show 2026.

What this means for you: If you run an early-stage startup in Delhi NCR without an incubator, this is the cheapest investor meeting you will get this month. Submit the registration form before October 20 and build the pitch around a working prototype.
StartupFeed Insight
Read the portfolio, not the prize. Rs 6.56 crore raised across 155 startups averages about Rs 4.2 lakh each. The revenue figures say the same thing: Rs 10 lakh to Rs 44 lakh a year. So treat October 31 as a grant and mentoring door. One caution for founders doing their own checks. There are some notable investors joining this event. Everyone needs to be hyper-prepared. Please make sure all your departmental data, KPIs, and financial metrics are fully updated and at your fingertips.
