  • Pulseone, Codevanguard Innovations LLP and WeXR Immersive won the top three places at a startup pitching contest on October 23, 2026.
  • MIET Meerut’s Entrepreneurship Cell ran the contest with the MIET Incubation Forum at GIC Ground.
  • The event was part of the nationwide Khadi Mahotsav, a Khadi and Village Industries Commission campaign held from October 2 to 31.

The Entrepreneurship Cell of MIET Meerut named three student-led startups as winners of a pitching contest at a Khadi Mahotsav on October 23, 2026.

The contest ran at the GIC Ground in Meerut and was held with the MIET Incubation Forum, the organisers said in their event statement. Teams pitched business ideas to judges, who scored them on innovation, practicality and market potential.

Pulseone, represented by Mohammad Salman Khan, won first place. Codevanguard Innovations LLP, with Anshika Sharma, came second. WeXR Immersive, represented by Yash Tomar and Irtika Rahman Ansari, finished third.

Each team received a trophy. No winner announced funding, revenue or user numbers at the event.

A four-member panel judged the pitches. It included Rehan Ahmad, chief executive of the MIET Incubation Forum, and Mohini, who heads MIET’s Idea Lab. Assistant incubation manager Vanshika Yadav and assistant professor Gagan Singh completed the panel.

A panel discussion on entrepreneurship followed, with six speakers from government and business. Among them were Manisha Ahlawat of the Uttar Pradesh State Women’s Commission and the E-Cell’s coordinator, Yuvraj Singh.

The panel also brought in startup founders. Yogesh Pratap Singh founded Fibra Clothing, a sustainable-fashion brand that turns bamboo, hemp, tomato fibre and recycled waste into fabric. Ankur Mishra founded Kavishala, a digital publishing platform for poets and writers.

The MIET Incubation Forum began in 2018. It runs an Atal Community Innovation Centre backed by NITI Aayog’s Atal Innovation Mission.

The pitching contest sat inside a bigger event. The Khadi Mahotsav is a nationwide campaign by the Khadi and Village Industries Commission, running this year from October 2 to 31. KVIC chairman Manoj Goel opened it in New Delhi on Gandhi Jayanti.

MIET’s music group Swaraang performed at the event.
