The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has invited film and media-tech startups to apply for the WaveX Pavilion at IFFI 2026 in Goa.
The festival runs from November 20 to 28, 2026, in Panaji, Goa. It is the 57th edition of IFFI, which started in 1952.
Who Can Apply to the WaveX Pavilion
Only startups registered with DPIIT can apply, if they work in film or allied technology. DPIIT is the government body that recognises startups in India.
A selection committee set up by WaveX will shortlist the entries. It will screen and score each applicant before the final list.
Startups can apply at wavex.wavesbazaar.com. WaveX is the Ministry’s startup accelerator for the media and entertainment sector.
The pavilion targets the AVGC-XR field. That covers animation, visual effects, gaming, comics and extended reality.
The ministry set no public deadline and named no fee in the announcement.
Last year, WAVES Bazaar booths cost Rs 30,000 each. The ministry has not named a price for 2026.
WaveX has a record at these events. A government review of 2025 counted nearly 100 startups at WAVES Bazaar booths. More than 30 of them pitched to firms like Microsoft, Amazon and Lumikai.
The program keeps growing. At the India AI Impact Summit in February 2026, 51 WaveX-backed startups showed AI tools in New Delhi.
What this means for you: If you run a DPIIT-registered startup in gaming, animation, VFX or media-tech, the WaveX Pavilion puts you in front of studios and investors. Apply at wavex.wavesbazaar.com before the committee fills the slots, and plan travel for the November 20 to 28 window in Goa.
