- Agrani Labs is in talks to raise $108 Mn to $110 Mn at a valuation of about $350 Mn.
- In September the talks valued the same Bengaluru startup at $160 Mn to $200 Mn.
- A round this size would beat the $76.6 Mn that all Indian chip startups raised in 2025.
Bengaluru chip startup Agrani Labs is in talks to raise $108 Mn to $110 Mn at a valuation of about $350 Mn.
A report in The Economic Times on November 4 put the round in its final stages. It cited people aware of the matter.
In September the same round was discussed at $160 Mn to $200 Mn. The new mark is roughly double that, about two months later.
Peak XV Partners is leading and is expected to put in more than half the money. Google, Samsung Ventures, HCLTech and Stargazer are also expected to join.
The Agrani Labs round is expected to close over the next month.
What Agrani Labs Has Raised So Far
Agrani Labs came out of stealth on January 28, 2026, with an $8 Mn seed round led by Peak XV. Total funding so far stands at $15.3 Mn across two rounds.
That puts the proposed valuation at about 23 times all the money Agrani Labs has raised. The number that moved here is the valuation, not the product.
| Stage | Reported amount | Reported valuation |
|---|---|---|
| Seed, January 2026 | $8 Mn | Not disclosed |
| Talks, September 2026 | Not reported | $160 Mn to $200 Mn |
| Talks, November 2026 | $108 Mn to $110 Mn | About $350 Mn |
An earlier October report in the same newspaper put the ask at Rs 800 crore to Rs 850 crore. The round has not closed.
Why the Round Matters for Indian Chip Startups
Indian semiconductor startups have raised about $206 Mn across 51 funding rounds since 2022. The whole sector raised $76.6 Mn in 2025.
A single $110 Mn round would beat that 2025 total on its own. It would also cover more than half of everything raised since 2022.
Chip startups in India raised $61.9 Mn in the first half of 2026.
Agrani Labs was founded in 2024 by Dheemanth Nagaraj, Ashok Jagannathan, Srikanth Nimmagadda and Rajesh Vivekanandham, all former Intel and AMD executives. Vinod Dham, known as the father of the Pentium chip, is its founding advisor.
The product Agrani Labs is building is an AI GPU for data centres, plus the software to run it. That software covers compilers, libraries and AI frameworks.
Stargazer is a Category II alternative investment fund that Groww’s four co-founders set up in 2023. Lalit Keshre, Harsh Jain, Neeraj Singh and Ishan Bansal run it, and it sits apart from the listed broking company.
None of the investors named in the Agrani Labs round has commented publicly.
What this means for you: If you run an Indian chip or deeptech startup, the price investors will pay has moved this quarter. A $350 Mn mark, up from $160 Mn to $200 Mn in September, resets what you can ask for in your next round.
