Bengaluru chip startup Agrani Labs is in talks to raise $100 Mn from Google, Groww’s Stargazer fund, Peak XV Partners and 360 One.

A year ago, Agrani Labs was worth about $35 Mn. Moneycontrol, reporting the talks on November 3, put the new valuation between $300 Mn and $350 Mn.

The Stargazer fund is run by the founders of Groww, the stock trading app. Google and 360 One are new backers in the round, and Peak XV Partners is already an investor.

Why Investors Keep Backing Agrani Labs

The core product at Agrani Labs is an AI inference chip, plus the software to run it. These chips work with Nvidia’s CUDA tools, which most AI developers already use.

Former Intel and AMD engineers founded Agrani Labs in 2024. Dheemanth Nagaraj is the co-founder and chief executive. His co-founders Ashok Jagannathan, Srikanth Nimmagadda and Rajesh Vivekanandham also spent years designing chips at Intel and AMD.

Agrani Labs came out of stealth in January 2026 with an $8 Mn seed round. Peak XV Partners led it, with angel investors joining.

Peak XV first backed Agrani Labs at the seed stage. Its managing director Ashish Agrawal explained the bet then:

“Agrani’s founders bring a rare mix of architectural judgement, delivery discipline, and hard-earned experience.”

A $100 Mn early-stage round is rare for an Indian chip company like Agrani Labs. Most raise far smaller sums. Chip design is slow and costly.

What this means for you: If you are building a fabless chip or deep-tech startup in India, this round resets what early-stage hardware can raise at home. Watch whether global names like Google keep writing $100 Mn cheques for Indian silicon before you set your own ask.
