- The iPhone Duo India sale opened on October 23, 2026, with no walk-in stock at Apple’s six Indian stores.
- India is one of 10 markets Apple left out of walk-in sales. Fourteen others, including the United States and the United Kingdom, get limited stock.
- The iPhone Duo starts at Rs 2,99,900 in India. Fresh orders now show delivery in late January 2027.
The iPhone Duo went on sale in India on October 23, 2026, but nobody can walk into Apple’s Mumbai or Delhi stores and buy one.
Apple’s statement of October 21 names 14 countries where its stores hold limited iPhone Duo stock. The United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany and Singapore are on that list. India is not.
India sits with nine other markets that get no walk-in sales on day one. France, China, Japan, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates are in the same group.
What the iPhone Duo India Sale Means for Buyers Today
Buyers in India who did not pre-order must book a pickup slot on Apple’s online store. Apple has told customers to check back on October 24 for those slots. There is no queue to join.
Apple runs six stores in India. They are Apple BKC and Apple Borivali in Mumbai, and Apple Saket in Delhi. The other three are Apple Hebbal in Bengaluru, Apple Koregaon Park in Pune and Apple Noida.
Every one of the six sells the iPhone Duo today by booking only.
Apple limits walk-in sales in some markets to control crowd sizes and to stop resellers. The same rule applies in China, Japan and the United Arab Emirates. Macao is the one market where walk-in sales run on launch day only.
Why the iPhone Duo Is Hard to Get Right Now
Reuters reported that iPhone Duo pre-orders sold out within minutes. Fresh orders placed now show delivery dates in late January 2027.
Pre-orders opened in India at 5.30 pm on October 16, 2026. The iPhone Duo starts at Rs 2,99,900 for 256GB and reaches Rs 4,49,900 for 2TB.
That base price is nearly double the iPhone 18 Pro, which starts at Rs 1,64,900 in India. Apple has set a new ceiling for its own range.
John Ternus, Apple’s chief executive, made the pitch when the phone was shown on September 9, 2026:
“iPhone Duo is the most transformational change to iPhone since the original.”

Demand has run ahead of supply. Apple has not said how many units reached India.
What this means for you: If you planned to queue at Apple BKC or Apple Saket today, you will be turned away without a pickup booking. Check Apple’s India store from October 24 for a slot, and expect a January 2027 delivery if you order now.
