Pune deeptech startup Aeron Systems has raised Rs 45 crore in a pre-Series B round. Riverwalk Holdings and MGF-Kavachh, also called MountTech Growth Fund, led the round jointly.
Indian Startup News reported the funding on September 2, 2026, and put the round at $4.7 million.
Ashvani Shukla and Abhijeet Bokil founded Aeron Systems in 2008. The company builds navigation, weather sensing and monitoring technology for aerospace, defence and industrial customers.
Aeron will use the money to expand manufacturing of inertial navigation systems. It also plans to fund research, product development and overseas growth.
The company makes air data computers, avionics and flight test instrumentation. It also builds resilient positioning, navigation and timing systems, known as PNT.
These systems run on aircraft, helicopters, missiles, armoured vehicles and naval platforms. Hindustan Aeronautics, Bharat Electronics and the DRDO use Aeron technology, and so do the Indian Army and Indian Navy.
The scale is already large. Aeron says it has deployed more than 10,000 inertial systems worldwide. It has also installed over 2,500 weather stations, Inc42 reported.
Ashvani Shukla is co-founder and chief executive of Aeron Systems. He called the round an important milestone for the company.
Abhijeet Bokil, co-founder and managing director, said the money supports Aeron’s global expansion. He wants to take its sensing and navigation technology to more overseas customers.
R.K.S. Bhadauria, a retired Air Chief Marshal, chairs the Strategy and Oversight Board at MGF-Kavachh. He said modern defence platforms must work in contested conditions.
Aeron also builds for renewable energy. Its hardware and software support utility-scale solar projects.
What this means for you: If you build in defence-tech or navigation hardware, Aeron’s raise is another sign that indigenous PNT and sensing systems are drawing serious capital right now.
