IMPERA is a Gandhinagar company that helps you open a restaurant, launch it, and then keep it running. It is built for the person who has wanted a place of their own for years.
You already know the food. You have made that one dish a hundred times at home, and people keep asking for it.
Maybe it is a Kathiawadi thali house in Rajkot. Maybe it is a small cafe near a college in Ahmedabad. Maybe it is a cloud kitchen you can start from your own home in Surat.
The dream is clear. The path is not.
Why do so many restaurant dreams stop before day one?
The food is the easy part, and the rest is where people get stuck.
You need a kitchen fitted out. You need suppliers you can trust. You need a name, a logo, boxes and a menu card.
You need photos, an Instagram page, and people walking in on day one. Then you need all of it to keep working, month after month.
That is not one job, it is 11 small jobs, and they all land on you at the same time.
Now think about the money. Every one of those 11 jobs carries its own bill, its own advance and its own delay.
Then think about the time. A week lost on interiors is a week of rent paid with no customer at the door.
| The job | Who you would normally call |
|---|---|
| Product sourcing and supply | A supplier |
| Complete setup | A contractor |
| Kitchen setup support | A kitchen equipment dealer |
| Interior coordination | An interior designer |
| Branding and packaging | A design studio |
| Social media and marketing | A digital agency |
| Launch marketing | Another agency |
| Launch event support | An event team |
| Repair and maintenance | A technician |
| Operational support | A consultant |
| Growth strategy | Another consultant |
That is 11 phone numbers, 11 quotations and 11 people to chase. IMPERA offers one.
Most people do not fail at cooking. They run out of time, money and patience long before that.
What does IMPERA actually do for you?
The label IMPERA uses for itself is HORECA Growth Partner. HORECA is the trade word for hotels, restaurants and cafes.
Take the trade word away and the idea is simple: one company takes the 11 jobs, so you can take the kitchen.
The list starts with HORECA product sourcing and supply, complete setup, branding and packaging, and social media and marketing.
It goes on to launch marketing, launch event support, interior coordination, kitchen setup support, repair and maintenance, operational support and growth strategy.
Nothing on that list is new on its own, because each piece is already sold in India by somebody.
The bundle is what is new. Buying all 11 from one partner, in place of nine or ten vendors, is what IMPERA is selling.
How does IMPERA stand with you at each stage?
Your road is split into three stages, and each stage has its own worry.
| Your stage | What keeps you awake | What IMPERA says it handles |
|---|---|---|
| Before you open | Kitchen, interiors, suppliers, the name on the board | Product sourcing, complete setup, kitchen setup support, interior coordination, branding and packaging |
| Launch week | Will anybody walk in on day one | Launch marketing, launch event support |
| The first year | Supply, repairs, slow months, social media | Product supply, repair and maintenance, social media and marketing, operational support, growth strategy |
The first stage is before you open, and sourcing, kitchen setup, interiors and branding all sit here.
The second stage is launch week, where launch marketing and launch event support sit.
The third stage is the long one, where supply, social media, repairs, daily running and growth planning carry on after opening.
According to IMPERA, there is no fixed package. Plans are built around your stage and your goal.
You can also keep the vendors you already trust, because filling gaps, not clearing the table, is the stated aim.
Which kind of place is IMPERA built for?
The stated range is wide. Small food outlets, cafes, restaurants, cloud kitchens, hotels and larger hotel groups are all named.
Every one of them starts at a different point, so the first service you need is different too. Here is how the 11 services line up against the kind of place you have in mind.
| The place you want to open | What you would likely start with |
|---|---|
| Small food outlet or takeaway | Product sourcing, branding and packaging |
| Cafe | Interior coordination, branding, social media and marketing |
| Restaurant | Complete setup, kitchen setup support, launch marketing |
| Cloud kitchen | Product sourcing, packaging, social media and marketing |
| Hotel | Product supply, repair and maintenance, operational support |
| Hotel group | Growth strategy, operational support, product supply |
A cloud kitchen owner does not need a launch event, and a hotel group does not need a first logo. The point of one partner is that you take only the part you need today, and come back for the rest later.
Is 2026 a good year to open a restaurant in India?
The numbers say yes, and they are not small numbers.
India’s food services market was worth Rs 5,69,487 crore in FY24. That figure comes from the NRAI India Food Services Report 2024, released in July 2024.
NRAI projects Rs 7,76,511 crore by FY28. That is growth of 8.1% a year.
| Indian food services | FY24 | FY28 projected |
|---|---|---|
| Market size | Rs 5,69,487 Cr | Rs 7,76,511 Cr |
| Overall growth | Base year | 8.1% a year |
| Organised segment growth | Base year | 13.2% a year |
| Unorganised share | 56.2% | 47.1% |
| People employed | 85.5 lakh | Up more than 20% |
Source: NRAI India Food Services Report 2024, released July 2024.
Organised outlets are growing faster, at 13.2% a year. Their share crosses half the market by FY28, at 52.9%.
People are eating out more often. Urban Indians ate out 7.9 times a month in 2023-24, up from 6.6 times in 2018-19.
That is a 20% rise in five years, and the same report counted 6.6 crore urban users on food delivery apps.
Not every kind of place grows at the same speed, so the format you pick matters. NRAI’s report shows casual dining holds 48% of the organised market, with quick service restaurants on 27%.
Quick service is the fastest format, and NRAI expects QSRs to add 4 to 5 percentage points of share by FY28.
The sector already employs 85.5 lakh people. By 2028 India is set to be the world’s third largest food services market, ahead of Japan.
So the customers are there, and the real question is whether you can get your place open and keep it open.
What should you check before you sign?
A good partner will not mind these questions, so ask them anyway, and ask in writing.
- A written list of what is included and what costs extra
- A price for each service on its own, not only one bundle price
- The names and numbers of two clients you can call today
- The one person who will be your point of contact
- What happens if you want to keep your own supplier
- The company registration number and the GST number
- Dates in writing for setup and for launch
One caution before you sign. No start date, founder name, team size or client list has been made public yet, so ask for all four before you pay anything.
That is not a mark against the idea. It is the same homework you would do before handing anyone your savings.
Get the answers on email, not on a call, so that you have a record of what was promised. A partner who wants your business for the next three years will send them without being chased.

StartupFeed Insight
Here is the honest reading. The idea behind IMPERA answers a real problem, because most first-time owners lose more to chasing vendors than to bad food. One partner across setup, launch and the first year is worth paying for, if that partner can deliver all three. Whether IMPERA can is the part nobody can check yet. No start date, no team page and no client list has been published. Ask for two names you can phone, and one call will tell you a lot. Watch for named leadership and three clients by March 31, 2027.
