- Simplismart funding talks are for $40 Mn to $50 Mn, the startup’s third raise in two years
- The round could value the Bengaluru company at $300 Mn to $400 Mn, up from $100 Mn to $120 Mn
- Its last round, nearly Rs 97 crore, was allotted 78 days ago
Simplismart, a Bengaluru AI inference startup, is in talks to raise $40 Mn to $50 Mn.
The Economic Times reported the talks and put the target valuation at $300 Mn to $400 Mn, against $100 Mn to $120 Mn today. That is close to a tripling.
Peak XV Partners and Damac Digital are both looking at stakes in Simplismart. Neither name appeared in the company’s share allotment in August 2026.
Simplismart Funding Talks Follow a Round Allotted 78 Days Ago
Simplismart’s board cleared 12,100 compulsory convertible preference shares at Rs 37 lakh each. An Entrackr report on its filings put the allotment at August 4, 2026.
That allotment set the company’s worth at about Rs 826 crore, and the new talks come 78 days later at roughly three times the price.
Dallas Venture Capital led that round with Rs 44.84 crore and Accel India put in Rs 24.09 crore. Micromax Informatics came in as a new name.
Accel India stayed the largest institutional holder at 19.92%, ahead of Dallas Venture Capital at 6.23% and Shastra VC Fund II at 2.69%. Micromax Informatics took 0.63%.
Revenue Is the Part the Valuation Does Not Explain
Simplismart still earns little operating revenue, though its revenue has doubled and its losses are narrowing from a small base.
The company sells AI inference infrastructure, so customers run their own models on it and Simplismart makes them cheaper and faster. Tata 1mg, Mindtickle, InVideo and Dashtoon are customers.
Amritanshu Jain and Devansh Ghatak, both former Oracle and Google engineers, founded Simplismart in 2022 as Verute Technologies Private Limited.
Accel led a $7 Mn round in 2024. Nvidia was in talks to lead a $20 Mn round in May 2026. Simplismart is an early member of the Nvidia Inception programme.
What this means for you: If you are raising for an Indian AI infrastructure startup, this round resets what a pre-revenue inference company can ask for. Watch whether Damac Digital signs, because Gulf money entering this sector changes who you pitch next.
