StartupFeed Quick Take
- Seed round: $2.5 Mn for RevRag AI, led by Accion Ventures.
- The Bengaluru startup serves more than 45 banks and lenders, including PhonePe and Razorpay.
- Next: product work, more enterprise deals and a US launch; RevRag AI targets $50 Mn in recurring revenue by FY28.
Bengaluru’s RevRag AI raised a $2.5 Mn seed round on October 14, led by Accion Ventures, to build AI agents for banks.
Cedar Hill Capital, Wyser and Venture Catalysts joined the round. The money will fund product work, more enterprise deployments and a US launch, RevRag AI said in its funding statement.
This is a step up from its last raise. The pre-seed was $600K, led by Powerhouse Ventures in August 2024, with angels including CRED founder Kunal Shah.
What RevRag AI Builds, and Who Pays for It
The agents are multilingual and sit inside the apps of banks, lenders, insurers and fintechs. They act as relationship managers. Each agent answers questions, suggests the next step and handles a task for the user.
The founder, Ashutosh Singh, put it plainly:
“A good relationship manager knows you, tells you what to do next, and handles it for you.”

RevRag AI says more than 45 banks, lenders and insurers already use its agents. The list includes PhonePe, Razorpay, Bajaj Finance, Motilal Oswal and IIFL. By its own numbers, the agents cut service costs by up to 70%.
RevRag AI wants $50 Mn in yearly recurring revenue by FY28. To get there, it plans to stop renting third-party models and build its own.
In September 2025 RevRag AI bought GenStaq.ai, a small AI-tooling startup, to strengthen its tech. Three schoolmates founded RevRag AI: Ashutosh Singh, Neeraj Gupta and Pankaj Gupta. Singh is the chief executive.
What this means for you: If you build or buy AI tools for banks, lenders or insurers in India, RevRag AI is now a funded rival with real clients. Watch its FY28 revenue goal and its US move; both will test whether in-app agents can scale past a handful of big logos.
