- Day 1 growth has slowed for a third year: 100% in 2024, 80% in 2025, 75% now.
Meesho said orders on the first day of its festive sale rose 75% from a year earlier on October 9, 2026. It was the firm’s first festive sale since going public.
The company shared the figures in a disclosure to the BSE and NSE on October 10. Orders peaked at more than 75,000 a minute when the sale opened.
Meesho Limited is based in Bengaluru. It listed on the two exchanges on December 10, 2025, and its shares opened about 46% above the Rs 111 issue price.
Meesho Festive Sale: Day 1 Growth Slows Again
Day 1 order growth has eased for a third year running. The company’s own figures show first-day orders rose 100% in 2024 and 80% in 2025. Now it is 75%.
The base is larger each year, so a slower rate still means more parcels. But the festive jump is getting harder to repeat.
By the value of goods sold, Meesho is India’s third-largest e-commerce platform. It handled 267 crore orders across 2025-26, its first full year at that size.
What the Festive Opening Means for Sellers
The festive sales opened across platforms on October 9. Online shoppers spent about Rs 24,000 crore in the first two days, research firm Redseer estimates, with Meesho among the main marketplaces.
The demand came mostly from small towns. For Meesho, which built its business on tier-2 and smaller cities, the opening sets the pace for the festive run ahead.
What this means for you: If you sell on Meesho or run a value D2C brand, the first day shows festive demand still rising, just more slowly than before. Keep mid-priced festive stock ready for tier-2 pincodes, and watch Meesho’s full-sale numbers, due after the event ends, before judging the quarter.
