StartupFeed Quick Take

  • Flipkart checkout credit now runs up to Rs 1 Lakh
  • Sunfox has deployed 60,000 Spandan ECG devices across India
  • Ionage has onboarded over 25,000 four-wheeler charge points

The Evening Watch for Wednesday, October 7, 2026: what happened in Indian startups today.

1. Flipkart Pay Later adds Finnable as a co-lending partner

Finnable has joined Flipkart Finance as a co-lending partner on Flipkart Pay Later. The joint announcement of 7 October says shoppers on Flipkart, Myntra and Flipkart Minutes can check out with up to Rs 1 Lakh of credit. Three repayment choices sit behind it: up to 30 days, Pay in 3, or EMIs of 3 to 12 months. Both lenders are RBI-registered NBFCs.

Who should care: If you sell phones or appliances on Flipkart, a wider EMI pool may lift your conversion this festive quarter.

2. Sunfox raises Rs 67 Cr to grow its Spandan ECG platform

Dehradun medtech Sunfox Technologies has raised Rs 67 Cr ($7 Mn) in a Series A round. Ashish Kacholia, Lashit Sanghvi, Alchemy Capital and 3one4 Capital led it, the company’s statement of 7 October says. It is the largest cheque Sunfox has taken since it began in 2016. About 60,000 Spandan devices are in use across India, reaching more than 20,000 villages.

Who should care: If you build medtech outside the metros, a Dehradun company just raised Rs 67 Cr without moving to Bengaluru.

3. Zomint picks up Rs 36 Cr from Lightspeed and Prime

Wealth platform Zomint has raised Rs 36 Cr in a seed round from Lightspeed and Prime Venture Partners. The money goes into its wealth and investment teams, its technology and an investor education push, the funding statement of 7 October says. Aman Mittal and Shavir Bansal started the firm in September 2025. Clients begin with a Rs 25,000 monthly SIP or Rs 5 Lakh in one go.

Who should care: If you advise salaried families on investments, a funded rival now opens accounts at a Rs 25,000 monthly SIP.

4. Desible.ai lands Rs 32 Cr for agents that work inside banks

Desible.ai has raised Rs 32 Cr in a seed plus round led by Prime Venture Partners, with existing backer Invention Engine joining. The YourStory funding roundup of 7 October says the money builds AI and compliance workflows for banks and insurers. We counted two Indian financial technology rounds led by Prime on the same day, this one and Zomint.

Who should care: If you run operations at a bank or an NBFC, expect another agentic vendor pitching your compliance team this quarter.

EV charging software firm Ionage has raised $1.3 Mn in pre-Series A money from strategic investors and a group of energy executives. Its own release of 7 October sets the goal at every active charger network in India. Over 25,000 four-wheeler charge points are already onboarded, with 63 fleets charging. Two in five public chargers in India do not work.

Who should care: If you run an EV fleet, one app across networks would cut the dead-charger risk your drivers face daily.

That’s all for this evening. See you tomorrow morning.
