Why It Matters
This initiative stems from a MoU between L’Oréal India and DPIIT (Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade), which aims to boost India’s beauty-tech startup ecosystem through mentorship, market-entry support, and pilot deployments.
- For startups: The program unlocks a direct pathway into L’Oréal’s commercial ecosystem and exposure across 35 SAPMENA markets.
- For the ecosystem: It strengthens India’s role in areas like inclusive beauty diagnostics, sustainable packaging, and digital-first customer experience.
Sanjiv Singh, Joint Secretary at DPIIT, said: “Indian startups showed remarkable ingenuity in this edition.”
Saloni Shah Javeri, Chief Digital & Marketing Officer, L’Oréal India, noted: “India’s digital landscape is fertile for groundbreaking beauty tech.”
